Why is Information Sharing so vital?
Food Deserts, Pet Resource Deserts, and Information Deserts exist together. A core focus for CCC is to share information related to community health. Our research has shown that after best practices regarding spay/neuter and general pet wellness information is shared, people in underserved communities make great choices for their pets. And it doesn’t stop there. Our clients help us spread helpful information like wild fire. A bit of information can go a long way and results in healthier, safer and stronger neighborhoods.
Charm City Companions (501c3, non-profit) is a community outreach initiative, modeled after The HSUS Pets for Life community outreach program making an impact in underserved communities across the country. We work with pet owners and the community at large to keep pets off the streets, out of shelters and in their homes with the companions they love. Through our work we help build healthier, safer and stronger communities.
